First Aid at Work

First aid at work qualifications offer a wide range of CPR and first aid skills, and equips candidates with the ability to apply first aid to a range of injuries and illnesses.

These courses are suitable for all industries and enable employers to meet HSE requirements.

On completion of a course, candidates receive an IQL Level 3 qualification, endorsed by CIMSPA and the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum.

First Aid at Work

First Aid at Work (FAW)

The First Aid at Work (FAW) is the most comprehensive first aid course, it is designed for workplaces in a higher risk category, and also provides comprehensive training for those who are required to be the designated first aider within their workplace.

It covers a wide range of CPR and first aid skills, and equips candidates with the ability to apply first aid to a range of injuries and illnesses.

The course comprises of practical work and classroom based theory, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and first aid.

The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years.

Length of course: 3 days             I                   Price of course: £360

Before enrolment:

  • Be aged 16 years or over

  • No prior first aid knowledge is required.

Emergency First Aid at Work

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) enables a first-aider to give emergency first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while at work. It is designed for low-risk workplaces, and can also be used for staff required to be emergency first aiders or to support a designated first aider trained via the First Aid at Work course.

This course covers a range of CPR and first aid skills, providing employers and employees with the skills to reduce the risks and dangers in their workplace.

The course comprises of practical work and classroom based theory, as well as a practical assessment on CPR and first aid.

The qualification is Ofqual accredited and valid for three years.

Length of course: 1 day                 I                   Price of course: £90

Before enrolment:

  • Be aged 16 years or over

  • No prior first aid knowledge is required.

Sport Specific Emergency First Aid at Work

This course covers the Emergency First Aid at Work topics, with some content being sport specific focused. The sport specific content will be based around towed watersports from boat or cable, including waterskiing, wakeboarding, inflatables, and wakesurf.

It will cover sport specific content for dealing with causalities in water, or with injuries associated with these sports, or injuries and medical conditions made more complex by the environment. These will include:

  • Cardiac arrest/ heart attack on water

  • Asthma attack on water

  • Head injuries

  • Neck & spinal injuries

  • Fractures & dislocations

  • Moving casualties from water including use of a boat
